I’m Laura Kingsley Hong. I’ve been a resident, homeowner and taxpayer in Cleveland Heights for nearly forty years. My husband and I chose to raise our family here. We love this City.
Cleveland Heights is home.
I’ve lived in the same home in the Cedar-Coventry neighborhood since the early 1990s, where my husband and I have raised two amazing daughters. You can often find our two dogs walking me in the neighborhood, or if you’re up early enough, you can find me riding my red bike to yoga.
If I am not walking the dogs or working, you can probably find me in the yard weeding and adding plants to our native gardens.

Cleveland Heights deserves a mayoral candidate who represents a real break from the recent chaos – not just the next person up in the revolving cast that has run this City year after year. I have consistently brought energy, enthusiasm, strong leadership, and interpersonal and organizational skills to my professional pursuits and my personal life. I am ready to put those same skills to work for the residents of Cleveland Heights, level set, and propel us forward.
The residents of this City deserve a candidate who can manage city government with competence and common sense. I’ve been a nationally-respected lawyer for forty years. From a management perspective, I’ve overseen teams of lawyers, legal assistants and administrative personnel, multi-million dollar budgets and complex projects. I will bring a career’s worth of leadership and legal and business experience to the mayor’s office. No one else in the race can offer that.
I hope you will join me in this effort to make a better, more civil Cleveland Heights government.
